Dr. Bowles graduated from the University of Tennessee Medical School in Memphis, Tennessee in 1989. He completed his general surgery and urology post graduate training from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in 1995. Currently, he serves as a clinical assistant professor of urology at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Dr. Bowles is certified by the American Board of Urology.

Dr. Chasan graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Ala., in 1981. He completed his post graduate training in general surgery and urology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in 1986. He completed a urologic oncology fellowship at Roswell Park Memorial Institute in Buffalo, New York and was Assistant Professor of Urology at the State University of New York School of Medicine in Buffalo. Currently, he serves as a clinical assistant professor of urology at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Dr. Chasan is certified by the American Board of Urology.

Dr. Walter C. Chiles III, earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, TN in 1999. He served his general surgical residency and received his post graduate training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and was Chief Resident in the Department of Urology from 2004 thru 2005 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He has been past Chief of Surgery at Baptist West Hospital and served on numerous hospital advisory committees.

Dr. Chiles III is a member of the South Central Section of the American Urological Association, the American Urological Association, and the American Association of Clinical Urologists. He was awarded the Phizer Scholar Award in Urology in 2004 and also has made a number of presentations at professional urological assemblies. Dr. Chiles was certified by the American Board of Urology in 2007 and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Christopher Harris obtained his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City. He served his internship and residencies at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in Oklahoma City. He was certified by the American Board of Urology in 1992 and recertified February 28, 2001 and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Harris maintains memberships in several medical societies including the American Urological Association, Tennessee Medical Association,, the Knoxville Academy of Medicine and the American Association of Clinical Urologists. Dr. Harris also attends regular medical seminars and professional conferences to offer the newest advances in urology.

Krista received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Tn, Knoxville in 1992. After working as a Level One Trauma Nurse, being a member on the Cardiac Transport Team, and volunteering with EMS, she had a desire to even further her education and become a Physician Assistant. In 1997, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine program at Wake Forest University. She has since practiced in Emergency Medicine and Women’s Health, and joined the TUA team in 2014.

Dr. LeRoy earned his medical degree from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina in Greenville, North Carolina in 2006, earning Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) distinction. He completed general surgery internship and urology surgical residency at the Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, FL.

Dr. LeRoy maintains memberships in several societies, to further urology he has published professional articles, book chapters, and has several articles pending. Dr. LeRoy has sat on several committees’ and performed research in several areas.

He has joined the physician’s and staff at Knoxville Urology Clinic directly from his residency with the Mayo Clinic.

Dr. Lischer received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Dallas Texas in 1998, earning Alpha Omega Alpha distinction. He completed a general surgery internship and urology surgical residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He served as Chief Resident at the Mayo Clinic Department of Urology in 2003-2004. Dr. Lischer was certified by the American Board of Urology in February 28, 2006 and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

He has been past Chief of Surgery at Baptist West Hospital and has served on numerous hospital advisory committees. He serves on the board of directors for the Knox Area Stone Center.

Dr. Lischer maintains membership in many professional societies including the Mayo Fellows Association, The American Medical Association, The American Urologic Association, the American College of Surgeons and the American Association of Clinical Urologists. For the advancement of the field, Dr. Lischer has authored research grants, published professional articles and presented papers, abstracts and videos at professional urological assemblies.

Laura is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Carson-Newman University in 2009. Laura also holds undergraduate degrees in both nursing and business. She began her nursing career in 2006 as a registered nurse. She has been a practicing nurse practitioner since 2009. Laura joined Tennessee Urology associates as a provider in January 2013. She cares for people and strives to give quality patient care and patient education. Her practice encompasses a broad spectrum of urologic services:

Dr. Shrewsberry is a member of the American Urologic Association, Endourological Society, and Sexual Medicine Society of North America.
